Seminar Seeks To Define Accounting Lingo
On March 30 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Mission Valley Bank will host a cash flow crash course focused on increasing your company’s cash flow and working capital.
“The seminar will provide business owners with tools to manage their cash flow,” said Marti Heinbaugh, Vice President and Regional Banker of Mission Valley Bank. Cash flow analysis provides a means for business owner to conduct a periodic check on their company’s financial health.”

At the event, Charlie Yacoobian, CPA and Partner in the national’s largest firm of Chief Financial Officers, B2B CFO, will deliver a fast-paced presentation. “It’s All Greek to Me” will provide attendees with insights into their business such as how to get the most cash possible out of assets. With more than 20 years of broad-based experience as owner of a consumer products wholesale distribution firm and import/export firm and 17 years as Controller/CFO in manufacturing, food processing, start-ups, retail, service, franchising and licensed products industries, Yacoobian has the knowledge to help.
“Keep in mind accounting is not complicated – it’s all very simple,” said Yacoobian. “I’ll try to decipher the accountant-speak for owners in this meeting. We’ll also discuss how a bank such as Mission Valley looks at a balance sheet when considering a loan application. I’ll also go over a break-even analysis for them to determine how much extra profit they will get in an increase in sales.”
Jim Hackbarth, Senior Vice President of Mission Valley Bank, will also share “What’s Really Important to Your Band When You Are Seeking Financing.” With more than 35 years in commercial banking, Hackbarth’s experience will show how you can make the difference between a “yes” or a “no” when you are looking for a business loan.
“Some of the topics that he’s going to go over concern the commercial loans that Mission Valley has to offer,” said Heinbaugh. “Those can be conventional, lines of credit or term loans. He’s going to go over the different types of SBA guaranteed loans that are out there and available to business owners.”
