Two Hospitalized After Collision With Red Light Runner
A mother and son are in the hospital with moderate injuries after being hit by an 18-year old allegedly driving under the influence Wednesday night.
Tyler Gonzales, whose blood alcohol level was allegedly .20, more than twice the legal limit, was traveling westbound on Soledad Canyon Road around 10:30 p.m. when he ran the red light at Valley Center Drive and struck a vehicle carrying the mother and son.

He is in custody at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s station and faces felony charges of driving under the influence and causing great bodily injury. Gonzales is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail. He is due to appear in court Friday.
