May 14 Is Santa Clarita Dodger Day
We may be a red community politically, but we collectively bleed Dodger blue, as thousands of baseball fans call Santa Clarita home. Many of them turn out every year for Santa Clarita Dodger Day, where the entire community is welcome.
Santa Clarita is the largest community day hosted by the Dodgers and this year, the tradition continues – for the 34th time – with an afternoon game at 4 p.m., Saturday, May 14 against the Colorado Rockies.

The annual fundraiser is not only a way to gather at the ballpark for a terrific time, but fans can help their favorite charity by purchasing tickets to support schools and nonprofits groups. Those groups that sell more than 25 tickets qualify to receive a donation in the form of a rebate from ticket sales.
Last year, Charles Helmers Elementary School was the top ticket-seller with 152 tickets sold. Tickets are available at various levels for special prices; from Preferred Field VIP seats at $45 each to Right Field Pavilion (All You Can Eat) tickets for $30 and everything in between.
You or your group could be featured before the game singing the National Anthem and there is an opportunity to throw out the first pitch for just the right person. Find out about those auditions and qualifications by clicking here.
Residents attending the event are asked to show up early to enjoy pre-game activities, including a youth parade.
Tickets may be ordered online by clicking here or visiting www.scvdodgerday.com; in person at the City of Santa Clarita Aquatic Center or mailing forms downloaded from the website to Santa Clarita Dodger Day, 20850 Centre Pointe Parkway, Santa Clarita, CA 91350. Mail orders must be postmarked by May 1 and the last day to purchase tickets is Friday, May 6 by noon, or until quantities last.
