Santa Clarita Christian Girls Soccer Team Keeps Undefeated League Record Intact
The Santa Clarita Christian girls soccer team beat Pacifica Christian from Santa Monica, 4-0, on a pair of goals by Colyn Gackenbach. Megan Gallagher notched two assists and Jordan Donohue scored the first goal of her high school career for Santa Clarita Christian.
The Santa Clarita Christian girls improved to 3-0 in Heritage League play.
The Santa Clarita Christian boys soccer team played to a 2-2 draw against Pacifica Christian from Santa Monica. Daniel Stratton scored both goals for Santa Clarita Christian. His second goal gave his team a 2-1 lead.
But Pacifica Christian scored a goal with 10 minutes to play in the game to force the tie.
The Valencia boys basketball team is back in action tonight along with the rest of the Foothill League teams. Valencia plays at home against Golden Valley.
Saugus is at Canyon and West Ranch hosts Hart.
The Canyon girls basketball team is home for a game against Saugus. The Valencia girls host Golden Valley and the Hart girls travel to West Ranch.
In high school soccer, the surprising Hart boys have a road game against West Ranch. The Canyon boys are home against Saugus and the Valencia boys host Golden Valley.
On the girls side, Saugus is home against Canyon. The Golden Valley girls are home against Valencia and Hart hosts West Ranch.
In college basketball, the UCLA Bruins had to rally late in their game against Oregon State to pull out a 62-57 win. UCLA had a 17-point lead in the second half, but saw it disappear in the final minutes.
The Bruins recovered, scoring the final seven points of the game. Lazeric Jones and Reeves Nelson scored 13 points apiece for UCLA.
The USC men’s basketball team lost to Oregon, 68-62.
The Kings lost to the St. Louis Blues, 3-1, and dropped to 1-6 in their past seven games at Staples Center.
The Kings are at the end of an eight-game homestand. It has been anything but home sweet home for the Kings.
Michal Handzus scored the lone goal for the Kings against the Blues. The Kings end their homestand against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night.
