khts_crime_genericTwo potential drug dealers were taken out of circulation, at least temporarily, by local sheriff’s deputies patrolling the parking lot of College of the Canyons.

The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station's Juvenile Intervention Team took two more suspected drug dealers off the streets on Thursday, January 6.

The two – Olav Henricksen, 23, of Reseda and Daryll Lelis, 22, of Anaheim, were found to be in possession of 250 ecstasy pills and a 9mm handgun.

The deputies were patrolling the COC parking lot when they spotted two men sitting in a parked car. They contacted the men and further investigation apparently led to the discovery of the pills and the handgun.

The pair were arrested on suspicion of a number of felony charges, including possession of a controlled substance for sales, transportation of a controlled substance, and possession of a firearm while on a college campus. Neither was a student at the school.

They were both booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station. They later posted a $50,000 bond each and were released pending future court proceedings.

The investigation is continuing. There is no further information at this time.
