ChaplinFest Set For February 4 And 5 In Hart Park
On February 4 and 5, the William S. Hart Park and Museum, along with the Santa Clarita Valley Historical Society, will commemorate the 75th anniversary of Charlie Chaplin’s classic film, “Modern Times” by hosting the 2011 ChaplinFest in Hart Park.
Revered by many as the last major film of the silent era, the movie’s final scene was filmed only 20 minutes away from cowboy star William S. Hart’s Horseshoe Ranch. On Saturday, February 5, a special plaque dedication will mark this famous film location on Sierra Highway, and will be held in conjunction with the ChaplinFest.
