Flash Flood Watches Remain In Effect Today, Sun Expected Tomorrow
Flash flood watches remain in effect through tonight for the recent burn areas in Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara counties, as well as central and eastern Los Angeles County.
A cold front will sweep across the area today, with the highest additional rainfall amounts expected on and below the south and southwest-facing slopes of the mountains. These are the same locations that have seen up to 15 inches of rain or more in recent days.

The cold front will also bring the additional threat of thunderstorms with locally heavy downpours. Peak rainfall rates will generally range between ¾ and one inch of rain per hour.
Isolated rainfall rates of up to 2 inches per hour are possible near thunderstorms. Rainfall of this intensity will post a significant risk for dangerous flash flooding and debris flows.
