Immigration Holds Requested For Two Kidnap Suspects In Newhall
Four men – two of them from out of the country, are behind bars for their part in an alleged kidnap/carjacking that took place in Newhall on Monday afternoon.
According to Lt. Mark Hershey, a 17-year old female said she gave two men a ride home, but enroute, they threatened her with a gun, forcing her to drive them elsewhere.
After she dropped the men off, she reported the incident to the Santa Clarita Valley sheriff’s station, prompting deputies to respond to a location on Ficus Street in Newhall, where they arrested the four men.

Arrested on suspicion of kidnapping were Timothy Heather, 19, of Canada and Michael Case, 21, of Italy. Hershey said that immigration holds for the pair were requested from Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Also arrested were Benjamin Rivera, 20, of Reseda on suspicion of possessing a deadly weapon and Alexander Duggins, 21, of Newhall, on suspicion of altering a firearm and other, undisclosed charges pending from a previous matter.
Also found at the Ficus Street home was a 17-year old girl who is pregnant and has an 8-month old child; she is being questioned by Child and Family Services.
