Advance Medical Care Joins Providence Group
Advanced Medical Care, one of Santa Clarita’s leading primary care physician offices, will join Providence Medical Group, a physician organization that is part of the Providence Health & Services, California, family of healthcare services.
AMC is composed of two physicians: founder Michael Pin, M.D., and his associate, Steve Yi, M.D., as well as three physician assistants. Effective Jan. 1, AMC will join PMG, a fast-growing group of outstanding healthcare providers.

Founded by Dr. Pin, AMC operates as a primary and urgent care physician practice with offices on Smyth Drive in the community of Valencia .
“Advanced Medical Care has a great reputation in the Santa Clarita Valley for its quality and professionalism. It’s a perfect fit for PMG,” said Kerry Carmody, chief operating officer for Providence Health & Services, California .
“Providence continues to branch out in the Santa Clarita Valley area, and one goal is to build relationships with outstanding physician practices. With our thriving Providence Holy Cross Health Center in Valencia and our 138-bed expansion opening early next year at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in nearby Mission Hills, we are poised to serve the healthcare needs of more and more Santa Clarita area residents.”
One goal of this new relationship is to strengthen the ties between AMC and Providence Holy Cross and Providence Saint Joseph medical centers.

Dr. Pin, practicing in the Santa Clarita Valley since 1983, is a board-certified family practitioner, a fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice and an active member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
Dr. Yi also is board-certified in family medicine. He served as a chief resident and was the recipient of the Eldon Berglund award for his academic excellence, educational commitment and abiding concern for the welfare of his patients.
The physician assistants on staff are Emily Wandel, Jesse De La O and Ashleigh Bodell.
