Hospital To Break Down Walls For New NICU

khts_healthConstruction on the first-ever neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital will begin with a “wall busting” celebration on Tuesday afternoon.

Among the highlights of the 11-bed, 4,400 square foot NICU are private suites with support spaces for families, state-of-the-art monitoring systems, special infant beds, and one room designed for twins. The new unit will include a design that is intimate and nurturing to improve the developmental process and the growth of the hospital’s youngest, most vulnerable patients.
