Hoefflin Foundation Receives Donation From Italian American Golf Club
On October 14, 2010, the Los Angeles Italian American Golf Club presented a check for $10,000 to the Michael Hoefflin Foundation for Children’s Cancer, to fund their work supporting pediatric cancer patients and their families.
The proceeds were raised though a golf tournament at the Valencia Country Club on August 23, 2010. The check was presented by Club board members Chris Angelo, Dan Ginnetti, Jack Impellizzeri and Rene Emeterio. Receiving the check on behalf of the Michael Hoefflin Foundation were Board Members Julie Benson and Michael Onuscheck, and Interim Executive Director, Ed Lin.

“This is a wonderful donation, and it will bring hope to hundreds of families battling the unimaginable horrors of pediatric cancer,” said Benson.
Onuscheck added, “We appreciate the Club’s generosity, and look forward to continuing this partnership.”
President of the Italian American Golf Club, Ralph Schillaci, responded, “The turnout was great, and we are pleased we were able to raise this money for the Foundation. We thank our event sponsors, volunteers and all the participants who helped make this event a success.”
The Los Angeles Italian American Golf Club was founded 27 years ago by a small group of Italian men who wanted to get together on a regular basis, play golf, honor their Italian heritage, and raise money for local charities. The organization is lead by a new board of directors with members who remember their own fathers participating in the event, and who are committed to ensuring the continuation and growth of this long-standing tradition of fun, camaraderie and charitable giving.
The Michael Hoefflin Foundation provides direct support to children with cancer and their families in the Santa Clarita Valley and neighboring valley communities. They can be reached at (661) 250-4100, and via their website, mhf.org.
