CHP Explorers Raise Money For Fallen Officers Families

Over the last few months, the law enforcement community has suffered a series of on-duty deaths involving five California Highway Patrol officers. The law enforcement family is constantly reminded of the need to assist the families of the fallen officers.

On Saturday, Oct. 16, the CHP Newhall Explorer Post 540 will host a fund-raising car wash at Valencia Auto Spa. The fund-raiser will begin at 1 p.m. and conclude at 6 p.m. Car wash tickets may be purchased the day of the event, but Newhall Explorers will also be selling the tickets throughout the community in advance.

All of the ticket sales will be donated to the CHP’s Widows and Orphans Fund in support of the families of the fallen officers.

Tickets will be available at the Newhall Area office located at 28648 The Old Road in Valencia, just north of Rye Canyon Road and south of State Route 126. Tickets are $10 (a $22.99 value).
