Old Town Newhall Gets Ghoulish For October
A number of Halloween events are being hosted locally this month, offering residents an opportunity to stay local this Halloween season. Old Town Newhall is ramping up to host spooktacular events throughout the month of October. The Heritage Haunt, which starts Friday October 15, 2010 and runs every Friday and Saturday until Halloween, and the Zombie March, which happens on October 23, both offer frightful events that will get you ready for Halloween.
The Heritage Haunt is a non-profit event to help raise funds for the SCV Historical Society. Haunt zones include a setting of the Old West, Haunted Indian Trail, and a Séance that takes place in a real Haunted House. Other activities include a Pirate themed area with a cannon-shooting Pirate Ship and the Haunt’s main attraction: the Heritage Haunt Hayride of Nightmares, the largest and longest Hayride in all of Los Angeles County. Heritage Haunt is located at Hart Park/Heritage Junction in Old Town Newhall. Heritage Haunt is open from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on October 15-16-22-23-29-30.
To add to your frightful adventures join the Zombie March to Heritage Haunt, hosted by Brave New World on October 23. Zombies will be meeting at dusk at Brave New World and are asked to bring a canned food item which will be donated to the Food Pantry.
