Cleaning Crew Held At Gunpoint
A cleaning crew got quite the surprise Wednesday when they were working in a house on Via Telino Drive in Valencia. Shortly after noon, a neighbor reported prowlers in the residence, which was the site of a marijuana grow house where nearly 300 plants were found and destroyed by detectives just a few weeks ago.
Sirens wailing, a cadre of sheriff’s deputies surrounded the house and called for air units in the area to watch for anyone escaping the area. The deputies called for the supposed thieves to step out of the house and held them at gunpoint when the mistake was discovered.

Because of the unsafe conditions created by the previous occupants, who had rerouted electrical power to circumvent the meter, the house had been red-tagged and was deemed unsafe. For both crew and deputies, it was all in a day’s work.
