Red Flag Warning In Effect
Soaring temperatures are supposed to come down tonight after baking the area for the last three days, but the red flag warning continues.
The National Weather Service predicts hot and dry conditions, with temperatures between 100 and 110, will dominating the Santa Clarita Valley today, cooling off slightly tomorrow.

The combination of very hot temperatures, low relative humidity, gusty northeast winds and critically dry fuel will continue to produce critical fire weather conditions across the mountains of Ventura and Los Angeles Counties, where a fire watch is in effect.
Tuesday's temperatures are expected to be slightly lower, with a high of 105; Wednesday's high is anticipated to be 99, dropping to 98 on Thursday and Friday.
