Mark Hershey, Janice Murray, and Pat Allen.
On March 29th, 2010, Pat Allen and Mark Hershey from the American Red Cross stopped by the KHTS Community Resource Station and were featured on the KHTS Non-Profit Spotlight.
The Non-Profit, hosted by Janice Murray , airs every Monday at 10AM on AM-1220 KHTS and is sponsored by Castaic Lake Water Agency.
We talked with Pat and Mark about the Dancing With Our Stars Event. Pat Allen will be dancing for the American Red Cross.
The Santa Clarita chapter has assisted in many disasters such as the Northridge Earthquake and most recently, they coordinated efforts with other Los Angeles chapters to assist millions of people affected by Hurricane Katrina and have sent a team to Iowa to assist with flood relief.
For nearly a century, the American Red Cross has prepared people to save lives through health and safety education and training. From first aid and CPR training to swimming and lifeguard instruction, American Red Cross Preparedness programs help people lead safer and healthier lives. The Red Cross constantly strives to respond to the preparedness concerns of Americans at home, in school and in the workplace.
The American Red Cross is led by volunteers and does not receive government assistance. They are always standing by and ready to provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.
