This year marks the first Mayor’s Walk, which will be held as part of the City’s annual Marathon, slated for Sunday, November 7. The 2.6 mile Mayor’s Walk will be led by Mayor Laurene Weste and the Santa Clarita City Council, and will begin at City Hall, 23920 Valencia Boulevard, at 7:15 a.m.
Immediately following the Mayor’s Walk, the City Council will host a free pancake breakfast at City Hall in the parking lot. The pancake breakfast is open to everyone and will also include a wide variety of information about the City’s many services and programs.

“One of our big work efforts for this year is to continue our healthy Santa Clarita programs. The annual marathon is a great event for runners, walkers and supporters who enjoy a healthy lifestyle. We’d like to encourage everyone to join us for the walk and the breakfast immediately following,” commented Mayor Weste.
The Mayor’s Walk begins at City Hall and ends at the Valencia Town Center, adjacent to Buca di Beppo Restaurant. Participants may avail themselves of the City’s trolley for a ride back to City Hall to enjoy the pancake breakfast.
The cost to participate in the Mayor’s Walk is $15 per person prior to October 1 and $20 for registration after October 1. All participants in the Mayor’s Walk will also receive a commemorative t-shirt. For more information or to register, log on to: www.scmarathon.org or call the City at: 661-286-4018.
