UPDATED Four Suspects Behind Bars In Tesoro Burglary

khts_crimeUPDATED Tuesday 12:19 p.m.

Four suspects are in custody for a residential burglary near Copper Hill Drive and West Hills Drive that occurred Monday afternoon, causing a large containment of the area and an elementary school to be locked down.

According to Lt. Mark Hershey, deputies were called to a Panorama Court house shortly after 2:30 p.m. when a resident returned home and found an open door and three people inside. She ran from the home, summoning a deputy sheriff neighbor who was off-duty, for help. He and another neighbor, an off-duty LAPD officer, caught one of the suspects and helped arriving deputies capture a second suspect.

As the containment was set up, officials at West Creek Academy locked down the campus as a safety precaution, holding students until their parents could check them out. Students who walk home were held for about an hour after school let out, when the containment was lifted.

An image of a white vehicle with two female occupants was captured on security cameras and deputies were able to track the vehicle to a residence, where they arrested the two female accomplices.

Four people were arrested on suspicion of burglary charges, including Noel Macias, 19, of Valencia; a 17-year old juvenile female; Kevin Greany, 20, of Saugus and Richard Martin, 27, of Valencia. Macias and Greany are being held in lieu of $50,000 bail, Martin has a parole hold and thus is being held without bail.
