UPDATED: Lightning Strikes In AV Causing Brush Fires
UPDATED 4:33 p.m.
Firefighters have knockdown on a blaze that was started by lightning near the Crown Fire burn area. Resources from both LA County and the U.S. Forest Service battled the brush fire that consumed eight acres.
Units staged at the Santiago Canyon and the 14 freeway.
Water tankers from the Angeles National Forest made drops in the area to knock down the fires.

Along with the fires, a light rain fell in the area and the National Weather Service posted a flash flood warning for low-lying areas and underpasses.
