The Dodgers optioned reliever Ramon Troncoso to the Albuquerque Dukes to perhaps clear space for the return of Ronald Belisario. Troncoso was effective in his most recent stint with the Dodgers, posting 2 1/3 scoreless innings over two games since being recalled from Triple-A on Aug. 3. But he has a 4.85 in 39 innings with the Dodgers this year.

Belisario, who has been on the restricted list since July 7, has a 3.79 ERA in 35 2/3 innings for the Dodgers in 2010.

Belisario pitched for the Dodgers Class-A Inland Empire team over the weekend and could join the team in Philadelphia for tonight’s game.

The Dodgers are in Philadelphia to start a three-game series with the Phillies. It will be Vicente Padilla for the Dodgers against Kyle Kendrick for the Phillies. Pregame starts at 3:30 on AM 1220, KHTS.
