Betty Ferguson Foundation Sets July Events

khts_inthecommunityThe Betty Ferguson Foundation has several activities planned for the upcoming month.

The Foundation is a women’s group aimed at training, developing and empowering women and youth to be a vital force in society.

At the group’s “Lunch and Learn” on Tuesday, July 1, Carrie Kish and her “Do It Like A Girl” coaching program will be the keynote of the afternoon. Kish is a coach and mentor for women running their own businesses and taking them to the next level. Lunch and Learn will be held at the BFF headquarters at 25510 W. Avenue Stanford, Suite 104. Cost is $10 per person for Lunch and Learn. RSVP to 661-702-8712

The BFF book club, named B.A.B.E. for Books And Better Education, will be dissecting the book “Zeitoun” at its July 10 meeting. Facilitator Mags Kelly will lead the discussion, which will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Barnes and Noble on Valencia Boulevard. Participation in the book club is free and requires no RSVP.

On July 20, the Mes Amies women’s group will tour the Help The Children facility; members will learn about the group’s mission of serving people with diverse cultural and economic backgrounds. Those attending will be rounding up school supplies to donate to the charity. The group will meet at 7 p.m. at the BFF office, then carpool to Help The Children.
