Lights Out Due To Vault Fire In Valencia
Valencia residents were without power for a good portion of Tuesday evening after an underground cable failed, resulting in a vault fire.
Edison spokeswoman Ana Frutos-Sanchez said that 3,417 customers were out of power starting around 8:49 p.m., but that the majority of homes were switched over to other circuits quickly.
The vault fire occurred near Avenida Navarre and McBean Parkway.
Frutos-Sanchez said that approximately 200 customers remained in the dark through the night, but all power was restored by 9:45 a.m. today. She said crews remain in the area to complete the restoration and repair work.
