May 1: The Dodgers Make It Two In A Row Beating The Pirates 5-1

The Dodgers bats looked great Saturday night, while the Pirates bats were still as quiet as they were in their last meeting. The Dodgers not only won the game 5-1, but they lead the Series against the Pirates two games to one.

As was the story last night, the Pirates got on the scoreboard first, this time when Andrew McCutchen hit a first pitch solo home run in the top of the first inning. In the bottom of the third inning, Andre Ethier hit a three run homer, adding to his home run and RBI totals in this young season. Then in the bottom of the fourth, Reed Johnson doubled in Blake DeWitt to make it a four to one game. After a few 1-2-3 innings, the Dodgers James Loney doubled in Andre Ethier to make the score five to one. The top and bottom of the eighth inning as well as the top of the ninth went 1-2-3, and the quick game ended with Dodgers winning their second game in a row; the final score The Dodgers 5, The Pirates 1.

The Dodgers and the Pirates will go at it again on Sunday afternoon with the Pre-Game show starting at 12:30PM, and the first pitch at 1:10PM. Catch all of the action on AM1220 KHTS, your Hometown Station.
