California Kid Rolls Through Town
Monster trucks are arriving for the Monster X Tour this Saturday, April 24. One of the trucks, the California Kid, rolled through town making a stop at Napa Auto Parts Friday, to show off the truck to patrons and passing motorists.
The truck is a modified 1934 Ford Sedan, and with tires over five feet high and an overall height of at least twice that, the truck is hard to miss.
The truck made a stop here but it will be going up to the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds for the Monster X Tour where it will join other monster trucks such as Bigfoot, Maniac, Rock Star, and Jurrasic Attack.
The monster trucks will be competing in several events including seeing how vertical the trucks can get without flipping over backwards, and a freestyle contest where drivers do what they want to try and impress the crowd.
Other events for the tour include quad racing, pro mud drags, and figure 8 stock car racing.
The monster truck shows will be at 1:30 and 7:30 p.m. and advanced adult tickets are $18 or $20 at the door. For more information and to buy tickets click here.
