Campgrounds To Offer Free Night During Fundraising Weekend

The Acton/Los Angeles North KOA Kampground, located at 7601 Soledad Canyon Road in Acton, is one of more than 390 Kampgrounds of America locations in North America participating in KOA's 7th Annual Come Kamp & Care With Us Weekend Friday, May 14 and Saturday, May 15.

The event was created in 2004 to offer campers an easy way to affordably explore KOA campgrounds in their area, and at the same time have a fun, affordable weekend to start their summer camping season.

All campers at participating campgrounds who stay as a paying guest on Friday, May 14 will receive a free night of camping on Saturday, May 15. It's a great way to try a KOA close to home, and get camping equipment ready for the summer.

The event is open to the public, according to Abilene KOA owners. Sites for recreational vehicles, as well as tent sites and a limited supply of KOA accommodations (KOA Kabins or Lodges,) are available for the event.

Come Kamp & Care With Us Weekend also serves as a fundraising event for KOA Care Camps for children with cancer. This network of 43 specialized summer camps throughout North America provides a true camping experience for children undergoing treatment or recovering from cancer, as well as their siblings.

Campgrounds fill up fast for this popular event, so don't wait.
