Rain Coming Into Town? Maybe, Maybe Not

raindropsJust when you broke out the bathing suits and suntan lotion, another late season storm may affect the warm weather we've been enjoying in Southern California.

A cold upper-level low pressure system is expected to approach the coast of Central California and bring rain to San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties Tuesday with a good chance of traveling into Ventura and Los Angeles Counties soon after.

Gusty west winds will develop in many coastal areas and in the mountains and Antelope Valley. Sporadic rain may occur with showers across the area Tuesday night through Thursday. A slight chance of thunderstorms also exists. .

The snow level is expected to drop Tuesday night to between 3,500 and 4,000 feet, which could affect travel on portions of the I-5 through the Grapevine and the foothills above the Antelope Valley.

Currently, it appears that the bulk of rain will fall Tuesday through Wednesday with up to an inch possible across Los Angeles and Ventura Counties.
