Kiwanis Food Drive A Success All Around
The Kiwanis 1-Day Food Drive was held April 10 and organizers deemed it to be a great success.
"Through generous donations from shoppers, family and friends, we collected approximately 15 grocery baskets of food for our beneficiary agency - Help the Children," they told KHTS.
The event was also an opportunity for members of the Kiwanis Aktion Club, who are developmentally challenged adults, to learn leadership and community pride by participating in this community service project.
The Kiwanians and the SCV Aktion Club also expressed thanks to their sponsors, Vons, Pavilions, Albertsons and all shoppers and supporters involved.
