Angels, Giants, Sign With Familia Camarena Tequila

Just over a week following their official U.S. introduction, Familia Camarena Tequila joins Major League Baseball's Opening Week festivities by announcing prestigious marketing sponsorship agreements with two of California's most celebrated baseball franchises. In separate deals with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and the San Francisco Giants, Familia Camarena Tequila has secured rights to extensive in-stadium exposure throughout each of the franchise's 81 home games during the 2010 regular season.

"Attending an Angels game is all about the fan experience," said Dennis Kuhl, Chairman, Angels Baseball, LP, "As a franchise, it is our goal to ensure that fans leave the ballpark with a lasting positive impression. We achieve this by aligning with partners like Familia Camarena Tequila whose sponsorship will add an exciting layer of variety to the Angels Baseball experience."

With distribution of Familia Camarena Tequila launching first in California and Nevada, the regional benefit of consistent baseball fan loyalty paired with the high frequency of games packed into the six-month MLB season position the Angels and Giants as ideal partners for jumpstarting west coast awareness of the new premium tequila brand.

Familia Camarena Tequila is inspired by six generations of family experience in the tequila making industry of Mexico. Two and a half centuries after co-founding the Mexican town of Arandas, today's epicenter of highland tequila production, the Camarena family's latest endeavor focuses on sharing their newly unveiled brand, Familia Camarena Tequila with international neighbor, America.

"As one of the oldest franchises in Major League Baseball, the San Francisco Giants welcome opportunities to work with partners who share a mutual respect for the preservation of legacy," said Jason Pearl, Managing Vice President of Sponsorship and New Business Development for the San Francisco Giants. "In the same way the City of San Francisco embraced the Giants move from New York in 1958; we are honored to partner in the U.S. introduction of Familia Camarena Tequila to San Francisco Giants fans and beyond."

Traversing the California coast, O'Brien Marketing, based in Santa Clarita, secured the deals with two of Major League Baseball's finest teams. O'Brien secured sponsorship components spanning both agreements with Familia Camarena Tequila to include use of official team marks and logos for consumer promotion, the feature of in-stadium signage, as well as LED and scoreboard brand visibility. Contract-specific opportunities with the Angels also include radio mentions for all 162 regular season games.

"The Anaheim Angels and San Francisco Giants are an integral part of America's pastime of baseball. The opportunity to work with both teams and integrate Familia Camarena Tequila into their legacies is incredible," said Dondi Kingsbury, Executive Vice President of O'Brien Marketing. "We are building a whole new tradition around the spirit of baseball with Familia Camarena Tequila, offering fans a new experience."

Three-time defending American League West division champions, the Los Angeles Angels lead off their 2010 campaign at home this week with a four-game series against the Minnesota Twins. In the Bay Area, Opening Day home action for the San Francisco Giants gets underway against the Atlanta Braves on Friday, April 9 with two-time Cy Young winner Tim Lincecum at the helm.

About Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim joined the American League in 1961. After playing their inaugural season at Wrigley Field in Los Angeles, the Angels called Chavez Ravine home from 1962-65. The franchise then moved into the newly-built Anaheim Stadium - known today as Angel Stadium of Anaheim - in 1966.  Since their inception, the Angels have won the American League's West Division eight times (1979, 1982, 1986, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009) and have made nine appearances in the postseason. After capturing the 2002 Wild Card, the Angels went on to win one of the most memorable World Series in recent history by defeating the San Francisco Giants in seven games. The Angels, who have drawn over 3,000,000 fans for seven consecutive seasons (2003-09) will host Major League Baseball's All-Star Game for the third time in 2010. The franchise will celebrate its 50th Anniversary during the 2011 season.

About San Francisco Giants

The San Francisco Giants of the National League is one of the oldest franchises in Major League Baseball.  Boasting a 127-year history, the team moved to San Francisco from New York in 1958 playing a total of 42 years in Seals Stadium and Candlestick Park before moving into their current home at AT&T Park in 2000. On the diamond, more than 28 million spectators have witnessed a trio of playoff appearances, the 2002 World Series and a bevy of magical moments. The euphoria that surrounded the Giants' pennant clinching win in 2002 is forever etched upon the San Francisco sports landscape. The ballpark was the center of the baseball universe when it hosted the 78th Major League Baseball All-Star Game on July 10, 2007. In 2008, the Giants celebrated the team's 50th year in San Francisco.
