4/10 Kings lose 4-3 in Shoot Out

The Kings came to life in the 3rd Period, but lost to the Oilers in a Shoot-Out 4-3.

Mike Comrie scored the first of his two goals for the Oilers at 14:37 into the 1st Period. The second came in the 2nd Period, with a little accidental help from the skate of Rob Scuderi. At 5:24 into the 3rd Period Tom Gilbert made it a 3-0 game. Team Captain Dustin Brown put the Kings on the board at 6:39, then Jarret Stoll made it a one point game at 12:03. Adding to the excitement, Michael Handzus tied the game at 17:26. The 3-3 tie went scoreless in overtime. Michael Handzus made his first goal for the Kings in the Shoot-Out, however that was their only score. The Oilers Ryan Potulny and Shawn Horcoff both made their shots, giving the Oilers the win, with Kings losing 4-3.

However, the high point of the game was Goalie Jonathan Quick breaking Felix Potvin's club Goal Tending Record with his 72nd game in goal.
