Dog Park Hosts Pet Vaccination Clinic
The City of Santa Clarita will be hosting its annual Pet Vaccination Clinic at the newly opened Sports Complex's Canine Country Dog Park.
Offering low-cost vaccinations and free micro-chipping for dogs, the clinic will run from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 13.
"Beginning this spring, L.A. County Animal Control canvassers will begin door-to-door visits in Santa Clarita to help license animals, and dogs must be current on vaccinations in order to receive a license or renewal," said Mayor Laurene Weste. "The City's Dog Vaccination Clinic offers low-cost services to help ensure that all local dogs are eligible for registration."
Dog owners can get their four-legged friends a six-in-one vaccination, a Bordetella shot and/or a Rabies vaccination all priced under $20.
Licensing will also be available at the clinic, and owners are encouraged to bring proof of spay or neutering with a Certificate of Sterility.
For dogs that have been spayed or neutered the cost of licensing is $20, while unaltered pets will run $60. Seniors can have their pets licensed for $7.50.
Owners can leave the plastic at home because this is a cash/check only event, and separate checks are needed to pay for separate services.
The City's Canine Country Dog Park is located at the Sports Complex, near the Skate Park, at 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway.
