Nine COC Football Players Commit To Four-Year Programs

sportslocalJosh Gibbs, a Valencia High graduate who played at College of the Canyons last year, is one of four COC football players headed to NCAA Division I schools next year.

Gibbs, a defensive back, signed a letter of intent to play at the University of Kentucky on national signing for college football recruits.

Mychal Rivera, a wide receiver who played at Birmingham High School, signed with the University of Tennessee. Tennessee had the eighth best recuiting class, according the ESPN.

 

Evan Harrington, a linebacker from Bowie, Md., signed with the University of Colorado and Louiszell Alexander, an offensive lineman who played at Highland High School, signed with the University of Syracuse.

Five other COC football players will continue playing at four-year colleges. Wide receiver Stephen London, a graduate of Valencia High School, and offensive lineman Eric Ivarsson will play at the University of Sioux Falls, an NAIA school.

Wide receiver CJ Atkins committed to the University of Montana and offensive lineman Karim Barton will play at Morgan State.
Defensive back Aaron Fisher is headed to Texas A&M Kingsville, an NCAA Division II school.
