Bowman To Host Roadtrip Nation Program
On Friday, Bowman High School will be the site of a very special presentation, the Roadtrip Nation Experience, that will partner the students with College of the Canyons for an innovative educational program that involves career exploration, multimedia and interaction with the real world community.
The event will feature an introduction from the founders of Roadtrip Nation, Mike Marriner, Nathan Gebhard and Brian McAllister and a chance for Bowman students to meet and hear stories from current Roadtrippers Mariana Iglesias and Ray Ricafort, who are featured on the PBS series "Roadtrip Nation."
Bowman is the first continuation school in the state chosen to pilot the Roadtrip Nation Experience, which involves the students receiving a grant for video camera, editing software and staff development training that will allow students to explorer career opportunities through an interactive curriculum.
The program is a curriculum developed to help students identify their unique interests, make connections in their own community, break out of their comfort zones, develop cutting edge skill sets and connect their education with all the possibilities of their future.
