The Andrews Brothers Takes The Stage

andrews_brosThe Cabrillo Music Theatre is pulling its award-winning cast together for their newest production, "The Andrews Brothers."

This musical is set on a South Pacific island in 1945, and is about a U.S.O show which is threatened with cancellation because its main act, a trio of singing sisters, is M.I.A.

The Andrews Brothers take it upon themselves to make sure the show goes on.

The musical features chart topping songs like "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," "Slow Boat To China," and "Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree."

The three brothers are played by Stan Chandler, David Engel and Larry Raben.

"Cabrillo audiences will delight in the nostalgic music, slapstick comedy, and old-fashioned romance of The Andrews Brothers," said Carole Nussbaum, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cabrillo Theater.  "With classic songs from the 1940s, a brand-new story, and plenty of humor, The Andrews Brothers has something for everyone."

The musical, directed by Nick Degruccio, is rated for all audiences and will run from February 5th through the 14th.

The Cabrillo Music Theatre is the Ovation Award-winning Resident Musical Theatre Production Company at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.   It is non-profit theatre organization, operating for over three decades.

Tickets, ranging in price from $25 to $55, are available for purchase at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza Box Office located at 2100 Thousand Oaks Boulevard in Thousand Oaks, or at any Ticketmaster location.
