Canyon Boys Basketball Team Looks To Keep Perfect League Record Intact

sportscanyonThe Canyon boys basketball team will look to keep its perfect Foothill League record alive against Saugus tonight.

Canyon is 2-0, with impressive wins over Golden Valley, the reigning league champs, and Hart. In other games, West Ranch is at Hart and Valencia is at Golden Valley.

 

The Santa Clarita Christian boys are in action tonight against Milken.

On the girls side, Canyon is at Saugus, West Ranch is at Hart and Valencia is at Golden Valley. The Santa Clarita Christian girls are also on the road against Milken.

It's a full slate of games in Foothill League soccer today. The Valencia boys are at Golden Valley, the Canyon boys are at Saugus and the West Ranch boys are at Hart.

The Santa Clarita Christian boys play at Pacifica.

The Hart girls are at West Ranch, the Saugus girls are at Canyon and the Golden Valley girls are at Valencia.

The Santa Clarita Christian girls are on the road against Oakwood.

In college basketball, The Master's College men's and women's teams are at Biola tonight.

The Clippers welcomed back Chris Kaman and beat the visiting New Jersey Nets, 106-95. After missing the past four games with a sore lower back, Kaman scored 22 points and the Clippers snapped a four-game losing streak. Marcus Camby had 17 points and 14 rebounds for the Clippers.

The Lakers got a little scare, but beat the Orlando Magic, 98-92. Kobe Bryant scored only 11 points on 4 of 19 shooting, but Shannon Brown scored a team-high 22 points off the bench to help the Lakers erase a nine-point deficit. Pau Gasol had a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

In the NHL, the Kings are home tonight against the San Jose Sharks at Staples Center. The Kings have won two in a row, but lost to the Sharks the last time the two teams met. Pregame starts at 7 on AM 1220, KHTS.
