Sheriff's Department hopes the public can help provide leads.

Update:

The city of Santa Clarita on Tuesday approved a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of two suspects believed to be responsible for an attack on a local Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy.

Wednesday morning, Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael Antonovich upped sum, offering a separate $25,000 reward.

The requests follow the release of these photos of the suspects, and detectives hope the addition of a reward will offer incentive for the public to help.

The incident:

The deputy pulled over the suspect vehicle, described as a white four door Nissan Titan truck, for a routine traffic stop on November 11 off Golden Triangle Rd. After the suspect driver was unable to produce a valid driver's license, the deputy ordered him out of the truck.

Once removed from the vehicle, the suspect attacked the deputy. During the fight, the second suspect emerged from the passenger seat and started to hit and kick the deputy as well.

The two suspects managed to escape the clutches of the deputy and flee the area. They have not been identified yet.

The surveillance photos above and below show the two suspects and their vehicle.

The second suspect (seen wearing a dark shirt and hat) is described as a white male (possibly Armenian), 50-55 years old.

The suspects are believed to have also used stolen and fraudulent debit cards to purchase items at local retail stores, including the Canyon Country Wal-Mart, just prior to the attack on the deputy. Additional fraudulent debit card charges were made in Studio City, Sunland, Burbank, and Sun Valley.

If you have any information about the identity or whereabouts of these suspects, contact Detective Bryne at (661) 799-5145 or Detective Henning at (661) 799-5156 - Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station Robbery and Assault Unit.
