The Master's College Men's Soccer Team Faces Notre Dame Of Ohio In NAIA Quarterfinals

news_sportsThe Master's College men's soccer team will play Notre Dame of Ohio today in the quarterfinals of the NAIA national championship soccer tournament in Fresno.

The Master's College women's soccer team begins play today in the National Christian College Athletic Association tournament against Palm Beach Atlantic in Florida.

 

In college basketball, The Master's College men got 13 points from Raphael Harris in his team's 72-69 win over Azusa Pacific in the Golden State Athletic Conference opener for both teams.

The Master's College women did not fare as well against Azusa Pacific, the 10th-ranked team in the NAIA. Azusa Pacific won, 95-75, and handed The Master's College women their fourth loss in a row.

In high school basketball, the Golden Valley boys team, the reigning Foothill League champs, started on a winning note, 84-57, over Venice in the Simi Valley tournament. Trevor Wiseman had 14 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists in his team's season-opening win.

The Canyon boys lost to La Salle, 59-51, in the Burbank tournament.

The Valencia girls basketball team opened their own tournament with a 77-45 win over Oxnard. Lauren Spargo had 18 points and 10 rebounds in her team's win.

The Saugus girls basketball team lost to Burroughs, 52-39, in the Valencia tournament.
