Valencia Football Team Stays Undefeated With 49-0 Win Over Saugus
Valencia quarterback Alex Bishop threw for three touchdowns in his team's 49-0 win over Saugus. Valencia improved to 9-0 and can wrap up the Foothill League championship with a win over West Ranch on Friday night.
Valencia running back Steven Manfro scored two touchdowns and Zach Tartabull returned the opening kick-off 98 yards for a touchdown.
In other games, Hart running back Jake Stephens scored four touchdowns in his team's 43-26 win over West Ranch. Zak Snell scored two rushing touchdowns for West Ranch.
Canyon got its first win of the season, 31-0, over Golden Valley. Canyon quarterback Jonathan Jerozal threw two touchdown passes and running back Trent Hernandez rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown.

The Santa Clarita Christian football team won the Heritage League championship with a 40-34 win over Faith Baptist. Santa Clarita Christian running back Collin Keoshian rushed for 175 and four touchdowns.
In college football, the College of the Canyons scored a touchdown in overtime to beat Pasadena City College, 29-22. Stephen London caught a 20-yard touchdown pass from Justin Morales.
Raul Merino won the Santa Clarita Marathon with a time of 2 hours, 45 minutes, 52 seconds. Jennifer Christian-Herman won the women's race in 3 hours, 15 minutes, 43 seconds.
In college soccer, The Master's College men's soccer team advanced to the Golden State Athletic Conference championship game with a 1-0 shooutout win over Westmont.
The Master's College will face Biola, 1-0 winners of Azusa Pacific in the other semifinal, in the Golden State Athletic Conference championship game.
