The Master's College Women's Soccer Team Loses Second Straight Game

news_sportsThe Master's College women's soccer team lost its second game in a row. The 13th-ranked Mustangs gave up a second-half goal to California Baptist, the No. 1 team in the NAIA, and lost 1-0.

Eva Solis scored in the 79th minute for Cal Baptist, unbeaten at 10-0-1.

The Master's College men's team came out winners against Cal Baptist. Brian Gardner scored in the 42nd minute to give The Master's College a 1-0 win. It was the third straight win for the men's team, 3-0 in Golden State Athletic Conference play.

The College of the Canyons women's soccer team got two goals from Lauren Crone in a 5-1 win over L.A. Mission College. Emma Wright added a goal and an assist. Kylie Trammel and Nicole Quintanilla also scored for COC.

In high school football, the Valencia High football team moved up to No. 2 in the CIF Southern Section Northern Division poll. Valencia crushed Santa Monica, 63-7, but it was St. Bonaventure's stunning, 24-23, overtime loss to Bishop Amat that made room for Valencia move up.

St. Bonaventure dropped to No. 3 in the poll and Moorpark, 35-7 winners over Calabasas, moved up to No. 1.
