No. 1 Santa Clarita Christian Football Team Loses To Joshua Springs

news_sportsThe Santa Clarita Christian football team traveled into the desert in search of victory. The team returned blemished with a loss to Joshua Springs.

Santa Clarita Christian, the top-ranked team in the CIF Southern Section Division I 8-man poll, lost to Joshua Springs, 22-6, on Friday night. Running back Collin Keoshian scored the lone touchdown for Santa Clarita Christian late in the fourth quarter to prevent the shutout.

 

The College of the Canyons football team got back to its winning ways on Saturday night. COC running back Nick Hale scored three touchdowns in his team's 59-7 win over Valley College.

The win comes a week after COC lost to unranked Santa Barbara City College.

In college volleyball, The Master's College women's team lost in three games to Biola on Saturday night. Three players each had a team-high four kills for The Master's College, 1-3 in Golden State Athletic Conference matches.

In high school cross country, the Saugus girls team won the Woodbridge Classic sweepstakes championship for the fourth year in a row. Kaylin Mahoney paced the Saugus girls team with a third-place finish in the meet in Irvine. Karis Frankian was seventh.
