Local Library Gets A Makeover
Changes to the library are expected to increases access for residents.
Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich announced that the L.A County Board of Supervisors has voted to improve the Jo Anne Darcy County Library.
The goal is to increase library access for the residents of the Santa Clarita Valley by leasing an additional 4,500 square feet of office space and 10 additional parking spaces.
At a cost of nearly $2.5 million, improvements will include new ceiling tile, carpeting, painting, lighting and ductwork, modifications to the young adult area, two study rooms, an audio-visual system for the community meeting room, new furniture and computer work stations.
