All Inmates Accounted For After Early Morning Scare Near Pitchess
Los Angeles County Sheriff's officials are reporting that all inmates at the Pitchess Detention Center in Castaic are accounted for, after the morning wristband count.
At about 8:00 a.m. Friday, several reports were called into the Santa Clarita Sheriff's station about a possible sighting of a prisoner. They decribed spotting an individual wearing what appeared to be a blue prison jumpsuit.
Pitchess was immediately contacted and a full count ensued. By 9:00 the Center had accounted for all prisoners.
It is possible that the individual seen may have been wearing hospital scrubs, which resemble a prison jumpsuit. That information was not confirmed, however.
