Volcom Registration Bumped Up
The city is giving local skaters a longer opportunity to sign up for the event.
The City of Santa Clarita encourages local skaters to register for a spot in the upcoming Volcom Stone's Wild in the Parks skate contest, which will be held Saturday, September 19, at the City's Skate Park.
Pre-registration for the contest, originally scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, will now open on Friday, September 4 at volcom.com to give Santa Clarita skaters more time to register for the event.
"Santa Clarita is the only California stop for the Wild in the Parks contest and registrations are likely to fill up quickly. The registration date was bumped up five days earlier to September 4 to give local skaters the chance to register for the national event, held right here in Santa Clarita," said Mayor Frank Ferry.

Registration will also be available on the day of the event from 10-11 a.m., permitting additional spots are open.
