City Sets Up Meeting To Address Decoro Lanes
Residents That Regularly Drive Decoro Drive Invited to Discuss Options.
At the request of the Santa Clarita City Council, City Manger Ken Pulskamp will lead a community meeting on Wednesday, September 2, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. at Helmers Elementary School (27300 Grandview Drive) in the school's Multi-Purpose Room. The meeting will be held for residents living near Decoro Drive who wish to express their views regarding the recent changes to the roadway, and offer constructive ideas on how the City should move forward.
Residents concerned about this issue are cordially invited to attend this meeting. At last Tuesday's City Council meeting, the Council directed Pulskamp to work with area residents to find a solution to concerns regarding the newly striped roadway that added bike lanes in each direction, as well as protected turn lanes, while changing the through traffic
"We've received several correspondences from area residents on both sides of the issue. Some really like the newly striped roadway while others do not care for it all. The Council would like the City to host a community meeting to discuss how we can best resolve resident's issues," explains Ken Pulskamp.
The meeting is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Andrew Yi, the City's Traffic Engineer at 661-255-4326.
