Business owners who want to make the most of government work are invited to participate in a special workshop Monday and Tuesday at the College of the Canyons Small Business Development Center.

This workshop, which follows the California Construction Contracting program, will educate local business owners on how to better compete for and win these lucrative contracts.
Key information on construction safety, including CAL/OSHA regulations, effective construction safety program development and implementation will be reviewed.
The importance of bonding and the types of bonding required will also be covered.
The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Monday and Tuesday at 28460 Avenue Stanford in Valencia (in the suite next to the Santa Clarita Chamber of Commerce Office). Participation is free.
