The closures are to enable joint seal assembly related to a pavement restoration project on I-5 between Calgrove Boulevard and Lake Hughes Road. J. Mcloughlin Engineering, Inc. is the contractor on the $12.5 million project, which started in September 2008 and will complete in summer 2010.

The project repairs storm damage incurred in the winter of 2007-08.  When completed, the pavement will be stronger and will provide a smoother riding surface for motorists.
