Key Watergate Witness John Dean To Make Santa Clarita Appearance
Speaking engagement is free to the public.
One of the most publicized scandals in U.S. presidential history will come to life on Saturday, August 15th, as John Dean will be speaking in Santa Clarita.
Dean served as White House counsel to President Richard Nixon from 1970 to 1973, and became a key figure in the Watergate prosecution, serving as a witness.
His book "Blind Ambition," which details his association with the Watergate scandal and his eventual turn as a star witness for the prosecution, will be available for signing at the event.
Dean did serve time in prison for his role in Watergate, and has since become an author and speaker critical of the Republican Party. His character has been portrayed in several films about the incident, including "Blind Ambition," "Nixon," and "Dick."
The event is free for the public and it will be held at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, located at 24901 Orchard Village Rd. in Valencia. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., and the event has been organized by the local Democratic Alliance for Action.
