Gregor and the Code of the Claw, by Adam Osowski
Good morning KHTS listeners! My name is Adam Osowski and I am a 4th grader in Mrs. Schmidt’s class at Old Orchard Elementary School in the Newhall School District. I’ll be reviewing Gregor and the Code of the Claw, written by Susan Collins. It was written in 2007 and is 412 pages long. This is book number 5 in the series of The Underland Chronicles.
Gregor is a 12 year old boy who lives in New York and discovers a hidden world underground. He learns that the “Underland” world is full of intelligent species of rodents and insects that co-exist with humans. Gregor learns he has a part to play in the “Underland” war. He discovers that he has to destroy the “Bane”, a twelve foot white rat, who has destroyed the “nibblers”, who were mice, and the Bane wants to destroy Gregor too. Gregor is victorious, destroys the Bane, and saves the “Underland”.
I liked this book because it was exciting and has many adventures. I think you should read it because it is exciting, has adventures and is cool. If you like adventures, this series, is a series for you.
