Good Morning Gorillas, by Angela Martinez

Good Morning KHTS listeners.
Hi, my name is Angela Martinez and I am a 4th grader in Mrs. Maxwell's class at Mint Canyon Elementary School in the Sulphur Springs School District.

I'll be reviewing Good Morning Gorillas, written by Mary Pope Osbourne, and illustrated by Sal Murdocca.  It was written in 2002 and is 71 pages long.

This book is about two kids names Jack and Annie who go to Africa and see many gorillas by the magic tree house.  They wonder if they're gentle giants or giant monsters.  Jack studies a gorilla's habitat and diet while Annie plays with the gorillas.  Jack has a hard time learning special magic.  Then he is able to learn the special magic.

This book is great because it is like you are actually there with Jack and Annie.  In one of the sentences, there was a long silence that makes you feel like you are there.  It then gets loud, and it scares you.

Young readers would enjoy this book because it is adventurous and exciting.
