The importance of Lucille Ball, by Alexis Romero
Good Morning K.H.T.S. listeners. Hi my name is Alexis Romero and I’m in the 4th grade in Mrs. Cohn’s class at Highlands Elementary School, in the Saugus School district.
I’ll be reviewing “The importance of, Lucille Ball!” written by Adam Wong in 2002.
Lucille Ball is most known as Hollywood’s greatest star in Television in history.
I Love Lucy! Was her hit T.V. Lucille showed every emotion magnificently. There is probably not a single person today who doesn’t know who she was.
Lucille Ball was born on August 6, 1911, in Jamestown New York. When she was 22 years old she began her acting career in Hollywood, CA.
Lucille’s career soared to new heights in a short time and so did her love life.
In 1940 Lucille met Desi Arnaz on a movie set and one year later the two were married.
In 1950 Lucille was asked to create a television show for RKO Studios, with help from her new husband on October 15, 1951 the historic television show “I Love Lucy” was born. The show starred Lucille and Desi Arnaz, Vivian Vance, and William Frawley who would become life time friends.
On April 26, 1989 Lucille Ball was laid to rest.
Lucille Ball left behind two children, millions of fans, and a legacy that no one will ever be able to repeat.
She is still watched on daytime television everyday, everywhere, more than 50 years later.
