Walk Of Western Stars Honoree Carradine Found Dead
Walk of Western Stars 2008 honoree David Carradine was found dead in a Bangkok hotel room Thursday morning.
Carradine was staying in the luxury Swissotel Nai Lert Pak Hotel while shooting a new movie called “Stretch.”
A producer for the film crew went to Carradine’s room after the actor failed to join the crew for a meal Wednesday and learned the actor had died.
Police say the 72-year old actor was found hanging in the closet.
Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated for the 1970’s series “Kung Fu,” his storied career also included several Westerns, including “Taggart,” “Shane,” “Wagon Train” and “Gunsmoke.” He was featured in nearly 120 films, and made 65 television appearances.
Carradine’s career got a kick start when he starred as the title character in Quentin Tarantino’s “Kill Bill” series. He also has a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.
